Pancakes, Pilates, Piquillo peppers

Slept well, which is always suspicious but in the best way, and went to the gym with energy. By seven the treadmill was running but I was not (my knee is in pieces). So I set that thing to the max incline, catwaljed uphill and it was legitimately fun. I even considered making this my new personality and replacing cycling with uphill catwalking. Finished the whole shabang with pilates, which means 1kg dumbbells, a mat and Heather Robertson.
By half past eight I was back in the room which was just as dark as pre sunrise. Jannis was still in bed, awake-ish exited about showing me what he worked on: Rezappt, the app I’d pitched and he’d built somehow. Do not ask me anything. Basically, you take a picture of a plate full of food and it generates recipes, a shopping list, and breaks down the ingredients. My reaction: “damn, it actually recognizes my food.” Impressive.
Breakfast called, because apparently satiety is a lie, and I ended up building what can only be described as a Pancakebear a little creature made of churros, Nutella, and pancakes. No Jannis is not 5. Do I care? Also no.
Taste-testing the hotel bread for the first time, I discovered that it’s simultaneously soft and crunchy. Joey voice: Cheese: good. Bread: good. Onos: da best. My professional opinion on children remains that they are inherently sticky.
Rezappt improvements: fish fillet recognition, ingredient aggregation instead of one-by-one listing. Hotel improvements: a seperate family dining section, granola without walnuts, next time I want a room on the fourth floor, bring bike clothes, and a hammock
After breakfast we got clubs and played mini-golf, which ended up being thirteen holes plus a final exam over a sand pit (à la the winner takes it all) Jannis won (I'm okay thanks for asking).
The Milk Bar followed, cause there was sun, and a road trip idea emerged because one cannot ignore the rest of the island forever (Love you tho, hotel). We debated car rentals and destinations for a good amount of time before and chose destinations.
A short walk down the beach to the left this time, and the sun was shiningggg. We came back, only to find our room still being cleaned, so we circled back to the crazy photographer lady, and yes, we ended up buying one of those photos, quietly acknowledging the absurd price while.
Lunch passed and was delish as always but apparently I am permanently full. Pequilopaprika with cod turns out to be my new favorite dish (anyone know a good recipe? Maybe i should try rezappt).
Auto booked for tomorrow. Coffee to go, to the beach. Jannis went in with his goggles, but the sky made me nervously worrying about getting a cold because the clouds had the audacity to appear.
Skipped the sauna today because of a cough, had another small coffee and a soda because, all-inclusive. Today's dinner demanded white attire.
Drums and whistles from performers in crazy outfits created a noise somewhere between exhilarating and exhausting. I ate so much fish I briefly I thought I was growing gills.
Jannis at some point used an imaginary zipper, and we mostly stayed quiet.
The show at the Belingo Bar was underwhelming, so tea was ordered for hot water bottle replacement and comfort, and eventually we returned to the room.
