Slept terribly, mind spinning a carousel of thoughts: the future, Goethe, emails, somehow fifty minutes had vanished on Instagram and 20 reading the news. Great balance. Jannis got up at 9:45—he’s playing football at eleven— I stayed in bed, jotting down January to-dos in my head and staring at the ceiling.

Eventually, breakfast happened, and Game of Thrones followed. Episode six. The sun was out, so I wandered along the water, finding a bench to sit on, watching people pass by, letting the music cover my thoughts.

By 13:30 I was home again. Jannis was already back, gearing up for a Monday meeting, while I set about cooking: sweet potato purée, broccoli, and THE mercadona patties. As always it all came together perfectly, and I ended up eating it while watching episode seven of Game of Thrones. Jannis joined in once his meeting ended, sitting down to the same spread, occasionally offering small commentary (about how amazing it tasted obvs) between bites.

At three, he was back in another meeting and I settled onto the sofa with the show, possibly nodding off mid-scene. Later, coffee, and onto the roof to catch some sun. Trade Republic got attention: one hundred invested, seventy-five gifted from Meta, and Jannis scored two hundred fifty Nike credits.

Out again for resupplies where we ran into our neighbours in the hall, exchanged cold apartment talk, donut talk, and updates on the Tres Reyes, wandering through streets lit up by lights.

On our way we took a quick stop to buy a lottery ticket for El Niño, hopefully more successful than my unsuccessful quest for Colacao Negro but as successful for our quest for a donut. On our way home we took a brief detour to Dia for Colacao (normal ugh) and canned peaches.

Back home, I chopped carrots and watched more Game of Thrones, while Jannis went to the roof and then cooked Chinese noodles.

Dessert and La que se avecina followed in bed: Colacao and yogurt with peaches, perfect for lying there, letting the day slow down.

Jannis worked and I eventually drifted off.
